We’re the Centre for Responsible Credit and we are on a mission to improve the way that credit is provided to low-income households and to create better support and solutions for people who are struggling with debt.

We’ve been around since 2010 and have achieved much in that time, including by driving the campaign to cap payday lenders and preventing cuts to community-based debt advice services. And, we are now in an exciting phase of our development. Having obtained charitable status in 2022, and with a small but energetic staff team in place, we are seeking new Trustees to join our Board to help develop our strategic vision and priorities for the next three years.

We are seeking individuals, from diverse backgrounds, who are committed to our mission and who bring experiences and skills gathered from the debt advice and anti-poverty third sector, housing and health settings, or who have substantial knowledge of the not-for-profit lending sector, credit regulation, FinTech, and credit scoring.

A full specification, setting out the role of Trustees, is available here.

As a member of our Board, you’ll be playing an invaluable role in shaping our future; steering the strategy of a high impact non-profit organisation and developing your leadership, stakeholder management and influencing skills along the way.

Interested?

Please send a brief expression of interest setting out details of your commitment to our cause and the skills and experience you would bring to admin@responsible-credit.org.uk by the close of Friday 25th April.

If you’d like an informal discussion beforehand, please contact our Chief Executive, Damon Gibbons, at damon.gibbons@responsible-credit.org.uk
